Leslie Albert Christian Mueller died April 3 at Central Community hospital, Elkader.

Funeral services were held April 5 at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Luana. The Rev. Ted Ager was in charge of the service. Helmuth Landt was the organist.

Pallbearers were Tim Mueller, Eugene Mueller, Todd Lenth, Brian Wieser, Jeffrey Mueller, David Mueller and Steven Mueller. Honorary pallbearers were Kim Schlitter, Scott Wieser, Terry Schlitter. Burial was in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Monona.

Schultz's Funeral Home in Monona was in charge of arrangements.

Leslie Albert Christian Mueller was born July 28, 1900 in Monona township, Clayton County Iowa, the son of Henry and Wilhelmina Anna Marie (Sass) Mueller. He was baptized September 2, 1900 at St Paul Lutheran Church, Monona, by Johannes Grenning, He was confirmed March 28, 1915 at St. Paul by Rev. Otto Wappler.

He attended rural school in the area.

He lived on a farm south of Monona until the age of 8. He then moved with his parents to a farm near Luana. Later, he moved to a farm adjoining the Luana farm of his parents.

Since 1951 he had been living in his present home in Luana. Leslie Mueller had been a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Luana since 1923.

Preceding him in death were his parents, 6 brothers, William, Arthur, Eddie, Henry and two infant brothers and one infant sister.

Surviving is his sister Ruby Breitsprecher of Luana, sister-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Mueller, of Monona, 4 nephews, 3 nieces and great nieces and nephews.
