Kenneth Harold Durr, 99, Bettendorf, Iowa died January 3, 2009. A memorial service will be announced later.

Ken was born December 17, 1909 in McGregor to Arthur and Hilma (Eggen) Durr. He married Naomi Valley April 27, 1930 at Strawberry Point, Iowa. She preceded him in death July 22, 1999.

He was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone in McGregor, Waterloo, Burlington & Davenport for nearly 40 years. Ken and Naomi spent their retirement years in southern Florida.

Left to honor his memory is daughter, Joan (Bob) Fulton and grandchildren; sister, Bettie Frese, of McGregor, Iowa; brother LeRoy Durr, of California. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Ruth Maud (Robert) Whistler, December 21, 1979; Olive Susan (Everett) Fields and Norma Elinore (Jack) LoRang, June 21, 1993; two brothers: Morris Durr, November 20-22, 1922 and Everett Eugene (Dorothy) Durr, 2001.
