Violet Meyer was born on April 10, 1908 near Frankville to parents Charles and Etta Bollman. She died April 2, 1992, at the age of 83.

On May 28, 1930 she married Lloyd Meyer. They farmed near Postville and Monona. In 1947 they moved to Yuma, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by a son Darwin.

Survivors include her husband Lloyd of Yuma; four daughters, Iris Clifton of Tucson, Ariz., Leah Combs of Delton, Wis., Lola Smith of Simi Valley, Calif., and Debbie Haggard of Moor Park, Calif; two brothers, Lawrence Bollman of Monona and Beacher Bollman of Harpers Ferry; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many relatives in the Northeast Iowa area.

Funeral services were held on April 6, 1992, with burial at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Yuma, Ariz.
