MRS. CHARLES SEARS DEAD; RITES FRIDAY

Mrs. Anna Ada Sears, 73, wife of Charles H. Sears died today at 12:30 p.m. at the home south of Ottawa. She had been in failing health a year, and seriously ill four months. Her death resulted from neuritis.

Anna Ada Flaherty was born in Elkport, Iowa March 10, 1870, daughter of Thomas and Mary (Costello) [Costley] Flaherty. She was married to Mr. Sears December 24, 1893 at Pleasant Hill. Mrs. Sears came here from Elkport in 1885.

Surviving relatives are the husband, four brothers and three sisters, Thomas and William Flaherty, Mrs. Mary Ford, and Mrs. Catherine Jammill [Gammill] and Miss Winifred Flaherty, Muskogee, Okla.; David Flaherty, Ottawa and Frank Flaherty, Little Rock, Ark.

The funeral is to be at Sacred Heart Catholic church Friday at 10 a. m. Father A. R. Portelance is to officiate, and interment will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery. The rosary is to be recited at the McVey Mortuary Thursday at 8 p. m.

Funeral Services

Sears—A change has been made in the funeral of Mrs. C. H. Sears, 73, who died yesterday at the home southwest of Ottawa. The Rosary is to be recited tonight at 8 o’clock at the McVey Mortuary. Father A. R. Portelance will officiate at the funeral Saturday at 10 a. m. at Sacred Heart Catholic church. The services are being delayed, so that Mrs. Herbert Rivers of Washington, D. D. and G. E. Moon of Radford, Va., may be present. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery.

Funeral Services

Sears—The funeral of Mrs. Anna Ada Sears, 73, widow [sic] of Charles H. Sears, was held Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic church, with Father A. R. Portelance officiating. The pallbearers were William McCarthy, Ernest Bohnet, R. C. Duchesne, Gilbert Smith, Louis Bohnet and A. C. Crozier. Mrs. Sears died Wednesday at the home southwest of Ottawa. Those present from out of town were William Flaherty and Miss Winifred Flaherty, Muskogee, Okla.; Mrs. Herbert Rivers, Washington, D. C.; Mr. and Mrs. Guy Moon and Evelyn, Lawrence; Mrs. Paul Moon, San Francisco, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. David Flaherty jr. and Lawrence, Kansas City, Kas., and Mrs. Frank Sears, Neodesha. Interment was in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
