Erma "Dorothy" Moen, 88, formerly of McGregor, died July 25, 2009 in Los Angeles, California.

The former Dorothy Miller was born the third daughter to Carl and Marguerite (Zohn) Miller November 21, 1920. She graduated from McGregor High School in 1938. She married Vernon M. Moen on Dec. 14, 1941 in McGregor, Iowa. After their marriage they moved to California, where Dorothy worked for Pacific Telephone and H&R Block in the Los Angeles area. She retired in 2008

Preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters, Amy Wright and Edna McGill, and her husband Vernon.

She is survived by three sons, Richard (Jerilyn) Moen of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; Gregg (Deborah) Moen of Aqua Dulce, Calif., and Ron (Janis) Moen of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Meda Weller of McGregor; and brother Earl Walter Miller of Kilkenny, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews. She was buried in California.
