Funeral services were held Fri., April 27 at 1:30 p.m. in Schultz's Funeral Home in Monona for Mrs. Ruby Koth. She died April 23, 1973 at the age of 74 years, 9 months, and 13 days. Rev. Fred Darnauer officiated at the services.
Pallbearers were Donald Sass, Lorraine Lenth, Clifford Kuhse, Ramon Sass, Roger Kuhse, Carl Wilker, Calvin Henkes. Burial was in Monona Lutheran Cemetery.
Ruby Amelia Henrietta Sass, the daughter of Fred and Minnie Sass, was born on July 10, 1898 at Giard, Ia.
She was united in marriage with William R. Stuber at Monona in January of 1918. They lived in Ohio where her husband was killed by lightning on July 6, 1921. She returned to Monona to live. Here she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith when H. W. Siefkes was pastor in 1937.
On Nov. 27, 1941, she was united in marriage with Roy Koth. He died on April 12, 1960. They had lived in Roswell, New Mexico since 1953 where Ruby was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
She passed away after a brief illness on April 23 at the age of 74 years, 9 months, and 13 days. Services were held at Roswell on April 25 and at Monona on April 27.
Surviving are a son, Harold Stuber of Roswell, New Mexico; two step-daughters, Mrs. George (Irene) Klaiber of Denver, Colo. and Mrs. Victor (Evelyn) Kuhse of Postville; one brother, Harvey Sass of Monona; two sisters: Mrs. Viola Stuber of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Mrs. Eldo (Laura) Sass of Monona; one grandchild, one great-grandchild, and a number of step-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husbands, her son, Stanley Stuber, a step-daughter, Vivian Stuber; one sister, Mrs. Herman (Lottie) Appel and one brother, who died in infancy.
