Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 22, 1969 for Mrs. William (Gunda) Olson, 82, at Marion Lutheran Church, Gunder. Rev. Robert Henriksen officiated with burial in Marion cemetery. Schutte Funeral Home, Postville, was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Olson died Dec. 19, at the Community Memorial Hospital, Postville, after being in ill health for several years. She had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Home here since November.

Gunda Therese Opsand was born in Norway, near Oslo, Feb. 20, 1887. She came to this country in the spring of 1904. She was married to William Olson March 30, 1907. The last years they made their home in Oelwein.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and a son, Clarence.

Survivors include: a son, Louis, a granddaughter, Angeline, and three brothers, Harold of Elgin, John of Kalispell, Mont., and Erling in Norway, and a sister, Martha Lee, Chicago, Ill.
