Helen Nevermann

Services were held for Helen Nevermann, Wednesday, March 2, 1983 at 1:30 at Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, with Rev. Curtis Webster officiating. Burial was in Luana Cemetery.

Helen Marguerite Nevermann, the daughter of Clyde and Carrie Mason Hinman, was born September 9, 1913 at Luana, Iowa. She was baptized at the Luana Methodist Church and graduated from Luana Consolidated School in 1931.

On August 24, 1940 she was united in marriage to Arno "Gus" Nevermann at the Little Brown Church. To this union two sons and two daughters were born. During the years they made their home at Garnavillo, Waukon and Luana.

She died Monday, February 28, 1983 at Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, Wisconsin, having reached the age of 69 years, 5 months, 19 days.

Preceeding her in death were her parents.

Surviving is her husband Arno "Gus"; two sons, Kenneth of Phoenix, Arizona and Bryce of Guttenberg, Iowa; two daughters, Penny Howard of Dorchester, Iowa and Mrs. Brian (Kayleen) Deeny of Waukon, Iowa; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Adrian (Norma) Riveland and Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Collins, both of Luana, and Mrs. Everett (Lois) Carnes of Elkader.
