He was for several years a director of the Farmers Creamery at Luana, and was instrumental in organizing the Farmers Cooperative Creamery at Monona. His other activites included directorship in the Monona and Luana Telephone Company and membership in the Monona Commercial Club.

Herman Koth was a lover of his family. He took keen delight in gathering them together from time to time and always expressed regret if even one of them was missing. His loved ones will remember him wtih great tenderness for these and other characteristics, and look forward to that reunion of some tomorrow in the land where sickness, sorrow, death, and separations do not occur. He will be missed by an unusually large company of friends whom he loved and who loved him thru a long and fruitful life.

There remains to mourn his passing his beloved wife and children above mentioned. Also two sisters and one brother; Mrs. Emma Leonard and Mrs. Theo. Morton, of San Francisco, California, and Henry F. Koth of Vancouver, B.C, besides 15 grand children and a host of other relatives and friends.

HERMAN KOTH FOUND DEAD IN THE YARD

The sudden death of Herman Koth Saturday evening brought grief to the whole communiy as well as to his family.

Mr. and Mrs. Koth had just returned from a trip to Waukon about 4:30 o'clock with their daughter Mrs. John Ulish and family when Mr. Koth went out to feed the chickens. He had fed the chickens and was preparing the feed for morning when he was stricken with heart failure. When he did not return to the house Mrs. Koth went in search of him and found him lying in the chicken yard where he had fallen dead.

With the help of neighbors and the doctor he was removed to the house, his family grief stricken by his death which was so unexpected.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist Church, which could not accomodate the large number of friends which came to pay last respects to their deceased friend.
