ELMER SCHEFFERT DIES SUDDENLY

Elmer Scheffert, 48, died suddenly Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from a heart attack while returning from the field with a load of hay. His wife was riding on the seat of the tractor and he was standing back of the steering wheel. He suddenly slumped over and fell to the ground, having died at once.

Coroner E. W. Tuecke of Garnavillo and a physician were called, who attributed death to a heart attack. He is surived by his wife, father, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services willl be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at St. Paul's Lutheran church.
