Ben Erickson

Funeral services for Ben T. Erickson were held at the East Clermont Lutheran Church, Saturday, March 14 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Clarence Johnson officiating. Mr. Erickson died March 12 at Community Memorial Hospital in Postville.

Ben T. Erickson, son of Peter Erickson and Barbro (Sevie) Erickson was born April 5, 1875 in Clayton County. He was baptized and confirmed in the Marion Lutheran Church.

On Jan. 4, 1911, he was united in marriage to Amanda Baker. They lived in Grand Meadow township where Mr. Erickson spent 91 years of his life. They moved to Postville in 1966.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Amanda, two sons, Louie and Alvin of Postville, four daughter, (Irene) Mrs. Robert Speece of Postville; (Evelyn) Mrs. L. W. Peterson of Overland Park, Kansas; (Lillian) Mrs. H. E. Lang of Escondido, California; (Dolores) Mrs. Norman Koser of Cupertino, California and twelve grandchildren.

Interment was in the East Clermont Cemetery.
