Ferris, Mabel C. (Minger) 1888 - 1977

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mabel C. Ferris, 88, were held at 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church. Mrs. Ferris died at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, 1977 at Riverview Care Center.

The services were conducted by Rev. Fred Richardson and burial was in Guttenberg City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Jaquette, Scott Ferris, Roger Ferris and Jim Jacobs. The Tuecke-Allenstein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ferris was born in Norfolk, Neb. on April 10, 1888, a daughter of George and Elizabeth Tindell Minger. She was married to Charles Ferris April 4, 1906 in Guttenberg. He preceded her in death on Oct. 14, 1962.

Surviving are three daughters, Mildred and Jennie Ferris of Dubuque, and Mrs. Keith (Ruth) Jaquette of Waterloo; two sons, Lloyd of Dubuque and Charles of Lompoc, Calif.; seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; on brother Carl Minger of Dubuque and one sister, Mrs. Jessie Wagner of Ashland, Ore.
