Services Held For Mrs. Glen Tindell

Mrs. Glen Tindell, 64, passed away on Sunday evening, May 25, at her home, following a period of lingering illness.

As Amy Zoe, she was born the daughter of Charles and LaVerna Boeve White, in Osterdock, on August 14, 1893. She received her education in Osterdock and Fayette.

On May 12, 1915, she was united in marriage with Glen Tindell at Millville. To this union were born four children, one of whom preceded her in death.

Mrs. Tindell was a faithful member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Postville and also a member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church. She had also been an active member of the Sunday School and had served as secretary and treasurer of the S.S. for a number of years.

Mrs. Tindell leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, and the following children: Cassilda, Mrs. Marvin Flack and Clarence Tindell of Postville; Lois, Mrs. D. L. Knapp of Dubuque; one brother, Grant White of Guttenberg; three grandchildren, and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Her parents, three sisters, and four brothers also preceded her in death.

Services were held at the Bethel E. U. B. Church in Postville on Wednesday afternoon, May 28, at 2:00 p. m. The Rev. A. W. Ebert officiated at the service, assisted by the Rev. Curtis Webster of Forest Mills E. U. B. Church. Burial was in the Postville City Cemetery.

Submitter notes: Mrs. Tindell and her husband Glen operated the Tindell Shoe Store in Postville, Allamakee County, Iowa since about 1928.
