Theodore Ernest Timmerman

Theodore Ernest Timmerman was born June 21, 1910, in Linton Twp., Allamakee County, IA, to parents William and Hermine (Witt) Timmerman. He died Friday, July 19, 1991 at Central Community Hospital in Elkader, IA.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 22, 1991, at Garden City United Methodist Church in Monona with Rev. Thomas Mattson officiating. Organist was Mrs. Priscilla Miene, and vocalist, Harlan Hass, David Schiltter, Jackson Turner and Kendall Benzing. Pallbearers were grandsons, Leland, Richard, James and Doug Moose, Kevin and Loren Timmerman. Burial was in Luana City Cemetery, Luana, Ia. Schultz's Funeral Home in Monona was in charge of services.

He was baptized September 2, 1910, in the Evangelical faith. He received his education in rural Allamakee schools. He was a member of Garden City United Methodist Church.

On December 21, 1937, Theodore was married to Pearl Wilke in the Evangelical parsonage in Monona by Rev. Harvey Reduege. The couple celebrated 50 years of marriage in 1987. They farmed northwest of Monona until moving to Monona in January of 1981.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and brothers, Willis, Henry, Grover, Herman, Fred and Harry; one sister, Anne Ferguson; daughter-in-law, Marie Timmerman and granddaughter, Karen Timmerman.

Surviving are is wife, Pearl; one son Milo of Monona; one daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Albert Moose, Monona; nine grandchildren, Leland, Richard, James and Doug Moose, Kevin, Loren, Julie and Kari Timmerman, and Kristi Guy; nine great-grandchildren, Donnie, Jennifer, Terry, Bill, Amber, Jarred and Jordon Moose, Christa and Andrew Timmerman; three sisters, Selda Topel, Waukon; Emma Snitker, Postville; Mable Kruse, Monona; and one brother, Frank Timmerman of Monona.
