Pixler, Ida M. (Barnhouse) 1877-1962

Services were held Friday, Nov. 9, 1962 at the Thornburg Funeral Home in McGregor for Ida May Pixler.

Mrs. Nettie Coon was organist and Rev. D.E. Kehril officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Pixler died Wednesday evening, Nov. 7.

Ida May Barnhouse, 85, was born Jan. 3, 1877 at National, Ia. She was married on July 1, 1900* to William Pixler. They had five children - two sons and three daughters.

Survivors are her children, Albert and Charles of McGregor, Mrs. A.H. (May) Hartman of Strawberry Pt., Mrs. J.D. (Bertha) Abel of Lewistown, Mont. and Mrs. Wm (Ida) Buersh of Solon, Ia.; 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Alfred Siegele, Art Bovee, Everett Moody, Jr., Albert Henry, William Klingmen and Russell Schriver.

Note: She was the 2nd w/o William Pixler. His obituary gives their marriage date as July 1897, not 1900.
