Mrs. Anna M. Aird, 76, of McGregor died Friday morning, June 9th, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital, Guttenberg, Iowa.

She was born May 1, 1896, at Harpers Ferry, Iowa, the daughter of P.J. and Mary Ann Heffern Broderick.

She was united in marriage in 1917 to Clarence Aird of Monona, Iowa, who preceded her in death on April 8, 1924.

She is survived by one daughter, Martina Aird of McGregor; two sons, Don of Mason City, Iowa and George of McGregor, Iowa; two sisters, Bridget Broderick of McGregor and Mrs. Margaret Patrick of Dubuque, Iowa; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and one sister, and two grandchildren.

Services were held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 12th, 1972 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in McGregor, with burial in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were five grandsons and two nephews: Patrick and Scott Aird of Mason City, Iowa; Mark and Robert Aird of Chicago, Illinois; Jerry Bose of Kearney, Nebraska; Mark Broderick of Omaha, Nebraska, and William Schlein of Monona, Iowa.

Those from out of town that attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Don Aird and Scott, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Aird and Terri, all of Mason City; Mrs. Margaret Patrick of Dubuque; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Broderick of Monona, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schlein of Monona, Iowa; Mark Broderick of Omaha, Nebraska; Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Bose of Kearny, Nebr., Mrs. John Heffern, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Aird of Harpers Ferry, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Garin, Joe Garin of Lansing, Iowa; Mrs. Mary Broderick, Amelia Hartwig of Ossian, Iowa; Mark and Robert Aird of Chicago, Illinois; Katherine and Jean Broderick of Hartland, Wisconsin; Mayme Heffern, John Larking of Waukon, Iowa.
