Mrs. Eugene (Elizabeth) Ellsworth, McGregor, died at Mercy Hospital Wednesday morning at 4:15 o'clock, following an illness of five months. Funeral services will be held Friday morning from St. Mary's Church at McGregor at 9 o'clock with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery at McGregor.
She was born at Marquette, Ia., Dec. 4, 1865. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, McGregor, and of the Rosary Society, Altar Society, and the League of the Sacred Heart.
Survivors are her son, Joseph Ellsworth of McGregor; a daughter, Mrs. William Leibrand of Dubuque; a sister, Miss Pauline Heck of McGregor; and three brothers, Max J. Heck and Emmet Heck, both of McGregor, and Rudolph Heck of Minneapolis.
Her parents and six brothers and sisters preceded her in death. The body will be taken from the Bennet and Ashworth Funeral Home to McGregor Thursday afternoon.

--Note: Her gravestone: EUGENIA HECK ELLSWORTH. The obituary is written oddly and implies husband's name was Eugene. She was w/o Cay Ellsworth who died in 1950 and is buried in the County Home Cemetery.
