DIED - At Jackson, Michigan, June 3d, of congestion of the brain, Rev. Daniel T. Grinnell, aged 51 years, 5 months.
The deceased was educated at Princeton (N.J.) Theological College, taught some time and in 1847 accepted the charge of St. Paul's church in Jackson, where he remained until removed from earth.
He preached twice on Sunday, May 31st, and died on the Wednesday following. The Jackson papers contain almost three columns in reciting his excellence as a man and a pastor, and to the details of the large and mournful funeral of the deceased. He was held in very high esteem by those who knew him best.
We met Mr. Grinnell several years ago at McGregor in company with his brother, John Grinnell, of Clayton, and like all others happy in his society. After a life of usefulness he has paid the debt of morality.
A widow and five children are bereaved.
