Greenfeldt, Mother & child died 1896

Elkader Register, 24 July 1896.

A dispatch from Dubuque on Monday says: "Word was received here that Mrs. Greenfeldt and child were drowned in the river at Turkey Junction. They were in a skiff, when the child fell out and the mother jumped out to save it and both met a watery grave."
