Elkader Weekly Register, 09 May 1889.
A Colesburg correspondent writing to the Manchester Democrat under date of May 4th says: Mrs. Aaron Hyde, living five miles north of here, while sitting at the table sewing on Tuesday last, suddenly fell from her chair, and before kind friends could assist her she was a corpse.

Added by S. Ferrall: Mary Ann Hyde, w/o Aaron is buried in the Bethel cemetery. Aaron's 1882 bio in the History of Clayton co. names her as his second wife, Mary Ann Johnson nee Barrett - it is very unclear in the bio if Mary Ann was nee Johnson or Barrett despite how it is phrased.
