Elkader Register, 08 July 1881.

DIED.

On the 28th of June, Nettie, aged 3 years, 6 months and 10 days; and on the 29th of June, Hattie, aged 5 years, 2 months and 10 days, daughters of Joseph and Cecilia Schrunk, of Osterdock.

This is a sad blow to Mr. and Mrs. S., and they will have the heartfelt sympathy of all in their affliction. The funeral occurred on the 30th ult., the two loved ones being laid away to their final rest, in the same grave. The following poem, composed for them was read at the grave.

Our little ones are gone
To the home far away,
To the mansions in glory,
With Jesus to stay.

He suffers them to come,
In His kingdom above;
To dwell with His children
In peace, joy and love.

We repent of our sins,
O, Lord ! please to forgive;
And bring us to Heaven,
With our children to live.

And Thine be the praise,
"Through ages to come,"
In the heavenly glory,
In the children's bright home.
