Mrs. Tillie Glesne Johnson, daughter of Ole and Helga Glesne, was born February 07, 1865, in Wagner township, Clayton county, Iowa, and died at Abbott's hospital in Minneapolis, Minn., March 30, 1956.

She was united in marriage to John F. Johnson March 21, 1889.

Except for 10 years at Northfield, Minn., Mrs. Johnson spent practically all her life in the Wagner township community.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by seven children: Mrs. Irene Anderson, Minneapolis, Minn.; Helen, Northfield, Minn.; Johanna, Clarinda; Frances, St. Olaf; Arthur, Elkader; Oliver, St. Olaf, and Ruth, Albert Lea, Minn. Also four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 02, 1956, at the Norway Lutheran church with the Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiating.

Pallbearers were: Ben Fuelling, Philmon Embretson, Merritt Hamilton, Norbert Niemeyer, Milton Ponsar and LeRoy Ehrhardt.

Relatives from out of town who attended the funeral were: Dr. and Mrs. Otto Glesne, Fort Dodge; Mrs. A. M. Bremness, Mrs. Josie Glesne and Alma Arveson, Decorah; Lee Glesne, Montezuma, and Mrs. Caroline Johnson, Calmar.
