Clement Thomas Curran, 54, died at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Xavier hospital in Dubuque, after being a patient there several days. He had been ill since November.

Services were held Thursday from the Egelhof funeral home in Dubuque to St. Mary's church at Strawberry Point. Burial was in the Strawberry Point cemetery.

Mr. Curran was born June 22, 1901, at Elkport, Iowa, a son of the late William A. and Rosa Eggerth Curran. He attended the school in his community.

On June 02, 1924, he was married to Miss Leta Crandall at Sacred Heart church in Volga.

They farmed in Clayton county a number of years, later moving to Spokane, Wash. Due to Mr. Curran's failing health, they returned to Dubuque county a few weeks ago.

Surviving are his wife Leta; three sons, Duane and Jerry Curran, Dubuque; Maurice, Spokane, Wash.; four daughters: Mrs. Cletus (Patricia) Grace, Bernard, Iowa; Mrs. Robert (Rita) Gallahar Jr., Maryville, Tenn.; Janaan and Helen, both of Dubuque; several grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Ed Berns, Strawberry Point; Mrs. Walter Wesmark, Dubuque; three brothers, Edmund Curran, Elkader; Thomas and William, both of Seattle, Wash.; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
