Clayton County Register, 10 July 1958.

Mrs. Soll (Floy Hines) Childers, 62, died at University hospitals at Iowa City, July 06, following a long illness. She was the daughter of LeRoy and Olive Collins Hines, and was married to Soll Childers at Elkader, June 09, 1910. They lived the greater part of their lives at Strawberry Point where she was a member of the Royal Neighbors and was affiliated with the Catholic Church.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 9:30 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Rev. Robert Spahn officiating. Burial was in the Strawberry Point cemetery with the Gill funeral service in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Soll Childers, one son, Vallie, both of Strawberry Point, one granddaughter, Mrs. John Stearns of Oelwein, and one great-granddaughter.
