DIED - In McGregor on Sunday, Sept. 13th, at 10 p.m. of Dropsy, Elizabeth Nelson Jess, wife of John Campbell.

The deceased was born at Port Patrick, Scotland, in the year 1833.

She had been sick nearly 10 months with disease of various character which finally terminated fatally in dropsy. A kind wife, an excellent mother and an interesting social companion has been removed from our city to the City eternal in the Heavens.

Three small children and a bereaved husband are left to battle with the world, unaided by her counsel uncheered by her affection. May the Almighty be their Protector!
