DIED - In Clayton Co., Iowa, Aug. 19th, 1863, Mrs. Caroline Nietert, aged 41 years, 2 months and 10 days.

Notes: Caroline Louise Wilhelmine Buhlman, wife of John H. Nietert (History of Linn Co. Iowa, Vol II, 1911).

Three of their infant children are buried in the Old Garnavillo cemetery. It is possible that she is also buried there. John & Caroline were proprietors of the Garnavillo Hotel in the early 1860s.
