Funeral services for Miss Minnie Tuetsch were held at the Witt funeral chapel in Elkader at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday, Dec. 11, and at the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Kitterer officiating. Burial was in the East Side cemetery.
Miss Tujetsch died at her home in Elkader Saturday, Dec. 08. She had been if failing health for the past eight years, afflicted with arthritis. Last Wednesday evening complications set in which were the immediate cause of her death.
Minnie Ellen Tujetsch was born in Boardman township June 17, 1884, the daughter of Thomas and Caroline Hartman Tujetsch. She attended the rural schools near her home. For 57 years she lived on the farm five and one-half miles west of Elkader.
Her mother preceded her in death in 1914, her brother Albert in 1936, and her father in 1937. After the death of her father she and her sister Cora continued to farm until 1946, when they moved to their present home in Elkader.
Miss Tujetsch was a member of the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church and of the adult Bible class of the Sunday school. She was confirmed with the class of 1915.
She is survived by one sister, Cora, and a number of cousins.
Preceding her in death besides her parents and brother Albert were two brothers and one sister, who died during a diphtheria epidemic.
Pallbearers were William Ehrhardt Sr., Ralph Kuehl, Clifford Jones, Herman Baars, Fred Rinkers, and Charles Waterman.
