GARNAVILLO: Funeral services were held for Mrs. C. J. Marting from the Garnavillo funeral home to the St. Paul's Lutheran church Tuesday, Nov. 20, at 2:00 o'clock, the Rev. L. C. Urlaub officiating.

Mrs. Christ J. Marting died at her home Saturday evening after a short illness.

Mrs. Minnie Dorothy Marting, nee Milewsky, was born Feb. 18, 1882, in Saxony, Germany. She came to this country in 1884 and lived in the vicinity of Garnavillo ever since. On Feb. 17, 1904, she was married to Christoph Johann Marting and lived on the farm now operated by a son, Merrill, north of Garnavillo. Mr. and Mrs. Marting moved to Garnavillo in 1937 where they made their home for retirement.

She is survived by her husband and two sons, Merril of Garnavillo and Vincent of St. Olaf as well as two brothers, Realto Milewsky of McGregor, Edwin Milewsky of Garnavillo; four sisters, Mrs. Walter Dettman of Luana, Mrs. Ben Matt, Laura and Leona Milewsky of Garnavillo and also four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother Henry Milewsky.
