Henry William Mohr died at his home on the George Katschowsky farm east of Elkader, Tuesday, December 31st, at noon as a result of urimec acid poisoning and illness which had continued for the past year.
Mr. Mohr was born March 07, 1887, in Legerdorf, Germany, the son of Henry and Anna Mohr. He received his education in his native land and in 1911 came to this county, first settling in Farmersburg township. December 30, 1914, he was united in marriage with Frieda Roeben and to this union two children were born Palmer, age fourteen, and Bernice, age ten. They, together with the widow, survive. He is also survived by his mother in Germany, one brother, Wm. Mohr of Boardman township, and two sisters, Bertha and Rosa, in Germany.
Mr. Mohr has been living on the Katschkowsky farm for the past two years. He was a member of the Lutheran church and was buried in the cemetery at Clayton Center January 5th, with the Rev. K. Wm. Braun of Garnavillo officiating.
People from away, who attended the funeral, were: Fred Roeben, of Madison, Wis., Mrs. Chas. Gilbertz of Madison, Wis., and Martin Horns of Chicago.
