Funeral services were held last Thursday forenoon at St. Joseph's Catholic church here for Mrs. Anton Hook, who had died the Tuesday before in the home of her son, John, and family.

Mrs. Anton Hook, nee Tujetsch, was born August 8th, 1848, in Switzerland, but the greater part of her life was spent in this country. Her husband preceded her in death seventeen years ago and for the last sixteen years she had made her home with her son, John, and family, where she died at 9:15 p.m. last week Tuesday.

She is survived by her only son, one brother, Tom Tujetsch of near Elkader, two grandchildren, Mrs. Dillas Hass and Floyd Hook, both of Elkader, and two great-grandchildren, Duane Hass and Beverly Hook.

The Father Donlon read Mass at the local church and offered prayer at the St. Joseph's cemetery, where interment was made. Mrs. Hook had reached the age of 86 years, two months and eight days at the time of her death.
