Marilyn Marjorie Noggel, daughter of Ray Noggel and his wife Regina, nee Kruse, was born Oct. 3, 1927, and was baptized Nov. 5, 1927, making her an heir and child of God. Little Marilyn was also a child that enjoyed attending Sunday school at Immanuel's Lutheran church of Elkport, and was in attendance as often as possible. On July 31, 1934, she took sick. All was done possible to retain life, but it was the will of God to bring her to the fold of the blessed. August 18th, at 12:45 p.m., she passed away, reaching the tender age of six years, ten months and 15 days.
Those left to mourn her departure are her parents, one brother, Lowell; her grandparents of both sides, and other relatives.
Private funeral services were held only at the grave Sunday, Aug. 19, 1934, at 2 p.m. The Rev. F. E. Damm was in charge.
