Millville: Funeral services for Ansel Penhollow, life-long resident of Clayton county, were conducted by the Rev. Hanson at the Goshen church in Millville township on Sunday afternoon with interment in the Goshen cemetery. Mr. Penhollow was born on a farm in Mallory township, Clayton county, Iowa, on November 12, 1851, where he grew to manhood. He passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bertha Thompson, at Millville on last Thursday morning at the age of 82 years and 5 months. His health had been failing him for some time previous to his death.

On July __, 1876, he was married to Miss Amelia Graybill, who preceded him in death eight years ago. For many years he was engaged in farming, but of late he had been making his home with his daughter, Mrs. Bertha Thompson from whom he always received the tenderest care.

Mr. Penhollow was a man of pleasing personality and was a kind and loving father and friend.

He is survived by 11 children, namely, Henry Penhollow of Monroe, Nebr., Glen Penhollow of Mesa, Ariz., Mrs. August Klebbe of Oelwein, Mrs. O. R. Smock of Oneida, Mrs. Blanche Ming_ of Guttenberg, Mrs. Andy Goeshel, Mrs. Bertha Thompson, Richard, Alfred and Earnest Penhollow all of Millville; 25 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends by whom he will be sadly missed. The funeral was very largely attended.
