Word was received here of the death of John Boden which occurred at the Mercy Hospital at Dubuque early Thursday morning. Mr. Boden was well known in this vicinity and the news of his death was a shock to the community. Funeral services were held at Elkader, Saturday morning and interment took place at St. Joseph's cemetery at Garnavillo. Mr. Boden was the only surviving member of his family, his brother and a sister having preceded him in death a few years ago.
