The death of Miss Mary Petsche, a former resident of Guttenberg, occurred on Friday morning at the county hospital at Elkader, of which she had been an inmate for a number of years. The body was taken to the home of her brother, Andrew Petsche, in Jefferson township, on Friday afternoon. The funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic church in this city on Tuesday, Rev. H. J. Krieger officiating. Interment was made in St. Mary's cemetery. The funeral was largely attended.

Deceased was born in Austria 63 years ago, coming to America with her mother in the year 1882 and settling at Guttenberg, Iowa. She is survived by three brothers, Andrew, John and Joseph Petsche, all of this township, and numerous other relatives and friends.
