Clayton County Register, Thur., 29 June 1933.

Guttenberg: Wm. E. Hunt, life-long resident of Clayton county, died at his home in Guttenberg Saturday morning at 6:30, after an illness of a long duration and at the age of 56 years, nine months and two days. Mr. Hunt was born on a farm near Osterdock on September 22, 1876, where he grew to manhood. He was married to Miss Mary Shaw. His death is deeply mourned by his wife, eight children, a number of grandchildren, his father, James Hunt, of near Osterdock, several brothers and children and many other relatives and friends, by whom he will be sadly missed. Services were held at the Bethel church in Mallory township on Monday afternoon, with burial in the Bethel cemetery. The funeral was largely attended.
