Joseph Meyer, one of the early settlers of this vicinity, died at the home of his son Joseph in Cedar Creek, on Thursday, November 16th, 1916. He was born in Austria on March 19th, 1838, and upon his arrival in this country settled on a farm in Cedar Creek, where he continued to live until his death. He is survived by his son Joseph and daughter, Mrs. Carl Hildenbrand. Funeral services were held on Monday at St. Joseph's Church, Father Raedler officiating.
