Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 23 Feb. 1911. Littleport column.

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hildebrandt was visited by the Angel of Death last Thursday when he took their 14 months old daughter away to the realms of glory from whence it came. The funeral took place from the family home direct to the cemetery south of town, on Saturday and was attended by a large following of friends and relatives who came to express their condolence to the bereaved parents. Mr. and Mrs. Hildebrandt wish to thank all those who so kindly took part in aiding them during the illness and burial of their daughter.

Note: Iona has a gravestone in Union cemetery with the dates 1909-1911. Her parents Charles & Emma are buried nearby. Surname on their stone is spelled Hildebrand.
