Mrs. Otto Fredelake (nee Millie Havill), 35 years old, and former resident of Guttenberg, died at her home at Milwaukee, Wis., Sunday morning at
1:30, after a several days illness with influenza and pneumonia, relatives in Guttenberg receiving word to that effect Sunday.Mrs. Fredelake was born at Garnavillo, Iowa, February 12, 1897, where she attended school. She was confirmed by Rev. K. Wm. Braun at St. Paul's Lutheran church at Garnavillo. Seventeen years ago she came to Guttenberg with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Havill, to make her home. In November, 1917, she was married to Otto Fredelake at Guttenberg. Eight years ago she went to Milwaukee, Wis., with her family to reside, where she spent the remainder of her ambitious and Christian life.
She leaves to mourn her untimely death her husband, two little daughters, Imogene, 12, and Eudora, 5, all of Milwaukee; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Havill, of Guttenberg; one brother, Lester Havill, of Rock Island, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Violet Bechtel and Mrs. Alice Palmquist, both of Milwaukee, and many other relatives and friends, who will all sadly miss her.
The body was brought to Guttenberg for burial Tuesday afternoon and was taken to the home of her parents. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. James Sopko at St. Paul's United Lutheran church in Guttenberg Wednesday afternoon, with interment in the city cemetery here. The funeral was very largely attended by relatives and friends from far and near.
