Monona: Mrs. Mary Tinker, aged 85 years, died Sunday morning in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mike F. Whittle, where she made her home. The pastor, Rev. Fr. Luke Donlon, officiated at the funeral services which were held at nine o'clock Tuesday morning at St. Patrick's Catholic church. Burial was in the Cox Creek cemetery.
Surviving her are one son, John W. Tinker, of Strawberry Point, and three daughters, Mrs. B. W. Olinger of Chamberlain, S.D., Mrs. Rose Olinger of Strawberry Point, and Mrs. Mike F. Whittle of Monona. A brother, Albert Lestina Sr., also survives her.
Mrs. Tinker was a good mother and a true friend. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her piety might well be imitated by her friends. She was a faithful church member and always willing to be of help.
