Patricia Johanningmeier

Patricia Johanningmeier was born September 8, 1918, in Calmar, IA, to parents Charles and Mary Zender McCullow. She died Saturday, September 14, 1991, in the Great River Care Center in McGregor.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. She received her education in Calmar and graduated from high school at Cresco, IA. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

On September 11, 1941, Patricia was married to Eldo Johanningmeier at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Monona. The couple farmed in the Monona - McGregor area.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and grandson, Jeff Lubbers.

Surviving are her husband, Eldo; two sons and their wives, Joe and Deborah Johanningmeier, and James and Janice Johanningmeier, both of McGregor; two daughters and their husbands, Joan and Terry Lubbers of Guttenberg, and Julie and Pat Mullarkey of McGregor; 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Angela Peters, Gainsville, FL; Kathryn Carroll, Monona, IA; and Helen McCullow of Independence, IA.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 17, 1991, 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Monona, IA. Father John Moran officiated.

Pallbearers were David Lubbers, Craig Lubbers, Joel Johanningmeier, Eric Johanningmeier, Ben Mullarkey and Tom Miene. Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, IA, was in charge of services.
