The remains of Mrs. Eveline McEvers were brought here from Cedar Rapids Friday afternoon for burial. Mrs. McEvers died Wednesday morning at a hospital in that city, following an operation for goitre [sic]. Mrs. McEvers was a former resident of this vicinity, having moved to Cedar Rapids about seven years ago. She was a kind neighbor and friend and had a host of friends here who were grieved to hear of her death. The funeral services were held at St. John’s Evangelical church in this city, Rev. Emigholtz, pastor of the church having charge of the services. Burial was made in Mount Harmony Cemetery.
