Farmersburg- Services for Charles F. Behrend, 62, were at 1:45 p.m. Sunday from the family home to St. John's Lutheran church at 2 p.m. The Rev. R. H. Steege officiated and burial was in the Farmersburg and Wagner cemetery. Behrend died Thursday at Finley hospital in Dubuque.

He was born at Millville, learned the barber trade at Dubuque, located at Farmersburg in 1913 and continued in business here until his death.

Survivors include his wife, the former Nettie Dahlstrom; a brother, of Guttenberg; a sister, Mrs. Charles (Anna) Mersen, of Colesburg; one son, Kenneth, of Farmersburg, and one daughter, Mrs. Loraine (Verda Mae) Hammann, of McGregor. He was preceded by four brothers and a sister.
