John Moran, whose death on Nov. 13th, 1884, was among one of the old settlers of the county, having located here about 28 years ago.

Mr. Moran was a native of Killdair, Ireland, and was about 60 years of age. He leaves a wife, four sons, and two daughter to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father. Honest and upright in all his dealings with his fellow men, he was respected by all, and his death is universally mourned. Peace to his ashes.

The funeral occurred on Saturday, Nov. 15th, and his remains were followed to their last resting place in the Catholic cemetery by a large number of friends and neighbors.
