Guttenberg- Derek Jesse Friedlein, 14, of Guttenberg, Iowa, died Monday, May 5, 2003, at his family's home in Guttenberg. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Guttenberg.

He was the son of Jeff Friedlein and Kari Grave Friedlein. He is also survived by a sister, Taylor Friedlein of Guttenberg; and a brother, Brandon Friedlein of Guttenberg.

Arrangements are being handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 207 S. First Street, Guttenberg. Funeral service will be at St. John's Lutheran Church in Guttenberg at 10:30 a.m. today, the Rev. Harold McMillin officiating. Interment will be at the Ceres Cemetery in Guttenberg.
