Mrs. Wilhelmine Charlotte Dorothea Miene, whose maiden name was Reinhardt, was born in Schessinghansen, Germany, Dec. 2, 1850, and died at her home near McGregor, Iowa, at twelve o'clock Easter Sunday noon, April 16, 1911, of heart disease and inflammation of the lungs. In 1873 she was married to William Miene. To this union were born 11 children of whom six survive, namely -- Fred and Mrs. Wm. Reinhardt, near Postville; Mrs. Jacob Zahn, of Rockham, S.D.; Mrs. Joseph Trimmer, of National; Mrs. Harvey Moore, of Castalia, and Fred at home. In 1893 the deceased with her family emigrated to America, settling near Farmersburg, and later moved onto a farm of their own near McGregor. She is survived by her husband, six children, two step-children, (Wm. Meine and Mrs. Robert Boese) four sisters, three brothers and 35 grandchildren. The funeral was held from the Lutheran church at 3__ Wednesday afternoon, Rev. R. Kuehne officiating. Interment in the Postville cemetery.

The Woodmansee burial book of Allamakee county shows a death date of 18 April 1911 and that she is buried in the same lot as Wilhelm.
Spelling of the step-child's surname was as in the obit.Submitter is not related.
