Frances E. Jones, 79, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of McGregor, died Friday, Mar. 17, 1989, at Tucson General Hospital.

Mrs. Jones was born Aug. 8, 1909, at Marquette, IA, the daughter of John and Gertrude (Parker) Clark. She married Louis Jones; he died in January 1981.

Survivors include two sons, William and Darrell, both of Granby, CO; five daughters, Mrs. Marion Eickmeyer of Lockport, IL, Mrs. Margaret Harris of Tucson, AZ, Mrs. Betty Klotzbach of Livingston, WI, Mrs. Joanell Peske of Cuba City, WI, and Mrs. Vickie Kleinow of McGregor; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ethel Saunders of Prairie du Chien, WI, Margaret Prescott of Monona, and Janet McNutt of Montesano, WA; and one brother, William Clark of Marquette.

Services were held Saturday, Mar. 25, 1989, at 10 a.m. at the Thornburg Funeral Home, McGregor, with Fr. Donald Hutchinson officiating. The organist was Joanne Strutt. Burial was in Giard Cemetery.

Pallbearers were William Prouty, Vernon Prouty, Jerry Tayek, Robert Tayek, Steven Clark and Reynold Kann.

Thornburg Funeral Home, McGregor, was in charge of arrangements.
