Funeral services were held for Theodore O. Moser, 65, Thursday, May 28, 1992, at First Lutheran Church of Rock Island, IL. Burial was in the National Cemetery Rock Island Arsenal with graveside military rites conducted by Moline American Post 246.
Theodore Moser was born July 26, 1926, in Osterdock, Iowa, the son of Leonard and Golda (Hansel) Moser. On December 10, 1947, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Horstman at St. John's Lutheran Church, Guttenberg. He served in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Ozark in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a volunteer fireman while residing in Guttenberg before moving to Rock Island in 1963. In 1983 he retired as a polisher and grinder after 29 years at John Deere Plow Planter, Moline. His memberships included United Auto Workers Local 434 Moline and American Associations of Retired Persons.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Peggy (Mrs. James) Marshall, Susie (Mrs. Bruce) Wilburn, Linda (Mrs. Richard) Willis, all of Rock Island, IL.; and Diane (Mrs. Michael) Deuth of Jeffersonville, Ind.; sons, Jimmy of Woodbridge, Va., and Lennie of Mesa, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren and 3 stepchildren; sisters, Lelia Minger and Caroline Harbaugh, both of Garber, Shirley Bonjour of Monticello, Gloria Thompson of Elk River, Minn.; and brothers, Cletus of Cedar Rapids, David of Dyersville, and Elwood of Garber.
