Wessels - Swestka marriage - 1957

MONONA: Miss Yvonne Swestka, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. L. W. Swestka, became the bride of Lawrence C. Wessels, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wessels of New Hampton, Wednesday, Jan. 23. The Rev. John Peters officiated at St. Patrick's church. Miss Elaine Swestka, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Miss Carl Reardon, friend of the bride, was bridesmaid. Don Wessels of Ossian served his brother as best man, and James O'Connor of New Hampton, friend of the groom, was groomsman. Eunice Swestka, sister of the bride, was flower girl, and Leonard Swestka, Jr., brother of the bride, was ring bearer.

The bride is a graduate of St. Patrick's parochial school and of the Monona-Farmersburg Community high school. She has been employed by the Fox Pharmacy in Monona. Mr. Wessels graduated from the New Hampton high school. He owns and operates Wessel's Variety store in Monona.

The new couple will live in an apartment in the Hagensick building in Monona.
