MONONA: Shirley Jean Trappe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Trappe of Rockwell, Iowa, became the bride of Norbert J. Holly, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Holly of Monona, Saturday, Dec. 29, at St. Patrick's Catholic church with Father John Peters officiating. Mrs. Gilbert Kurth, sister of the groom, was matron of honor, and Gilbert Kurth, brother-in-law of the groom, served as best man. Robert Trappe, uncle of the bride, ushered.
After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Emmet Trappe.
The bride graduated from the Clear Lake high school and has been employed at the Hanford hotel in Mason City. The groom is a graduate of St. Patrick's parochial school and of the Monona-Farmersburg Community schools. He is employed at the Huinker garage in Monona, where the couple will make their home.
