I, Allen Hansel do solemnly swear that I am acquainted with Samuel J. Smith, of Elkport, Clayton County, Iowa, and that he is at least 26 years of age; and that I am acquainted with Mary L. Hansel of Elport, Clayton County that she is at least 18 years of age...

Subscribed an sworn to before me, this 23rd day of January A. D. 1890. F. H. Paul, Clerk of the Court.

Dear Sir:
I received your letter yesterday and the License I got of you got Burnt up and I got an nother pare at Alcader.

Mr. Bingman Bughly married me his past office address is Edgewood Iowa.

and if you han satisfied .. come down and I will give you the ashes."
